Winning a 2nd place ribbon

Ziggy and I winning 2nd place in the Stallions ages 2-4 class. Since it was a "stallion" class, Ziggy felt it necessary to show what he had to all the other boys, and too the judge! Despite the fact that Ziggy was showing his goods in this picture, I thought it was a nice picture of him, so I used it.

Colorado Draft Horse Classic - September 2006 - Rifle, CO

Blue and I western

Blue and I competing in the Heavy Horse Under Saddle -Western class at the Colorado Draft Horse Classic. We took 2nd out of four entries. Not bad considering she had only been under saddle a week before this show! You got to love the temperment on these horses!

Blue has a beautiful lope as well. She really moves out, too. Especially when gandalf was waiting on the end of the arena ;)

Then we did the Heavy Horse Under Saddle - English and proved that she also looks good and performs good in English tack as well. We took 2nd place.

The Competition

I like this picture. It shows my competition for the English class. I believe that the Belgian took 1st place.

Although we didn't get any pictures of Ziggy showing, he did win Reserve Champion Stallion for the show.

***Please note that Blue was very thin from nursing Gandalf when these pictures were taken. Since he has been weaned Blue has filled out again and is back to her chunky self.***
